Southwest Airlines Visa Signature Credit Card Fee?

I received an email from Southwest Airlines for a promotion of 16 rapid rewards credits if I get there Visa Signature credit card. They have an annual fee of $59. My question is can I sign up for the credit card, pay the $59 of course, receive the rapid rewards credits, and cancel it, or do I have to keep it for a certain time?

  1. Joshua-Beverly-Hills says:

First, it is a matter of you getting approved based on credit.

Next, you'd get their reward points as they say but check their rules. Usually, once rewards are credited, you have it regardless of you cancelling your credit card account in the future.

However, your credit score may be affected unless you dont care. Southwest's credit card company might be happy with your $59 and let you go.
